Have you ever wondered how big God's work really is, beyond what we see here in Toronto?
Perhaps the Lord has been stirring something in you, inviting you out of what is comfortable and familiar, and you are wondering what it would look like to say "yes!"
Join us on the Cambodia Mission Trip, where you will see missionaries at work in the field and take part in the kind of ministry you will never experience in comfortable Toronto.

Have questions? We have the answers!
Yes, while Cambodia is in the news for border dispute with Thailand and kidnapping cases, it is generally a safe country.
The government recommends to "exercise a high degre of caution due to increase in petty crime" and to avoid all travel within 50 KM of the Cambodia Thailand border.
Our partner organization, Care Ministries International, have conducted several mission trips in recent years with no issues. We will also take extra precaution on the ground to ensure the safety of all participants.
Yes, since this is a mission trip, you will be sharing your faith in Christ with the people you encounter.
We expect team members to be baptized. If you are a follower of Jesus, but haven't had a chance to baptized, please speak with Pastor Ronnie.
You can expect to be involved in the following :
1) Kids Ministry. Share Bible stories in a local school in Phnom Penh and a new church plant in a rural village
2) Visitation and Prayer Walk. Meet the locals, learn their culture and intercede on their behalf.
3) Close up time with missionaries. Learn how international workers build churches and share the gospel in a cross-cultural context
4) Cultural Learning. Experience the food and attractions. More importantly, learn the history of Christianity in the country!
3) 關懷宣教士 :了解他們的工作,學習他們如何在異族文化中建立教會傳福音;

We expect participants to be active members of the church. If you are regularly attending and serving in church, the Lord has already equipped you for the trip!
Here are skills/qualities we are looking for:
1) Evangelism. Talking about faith in everyday conversations
2) Kids Ministry. Teaching lessons and leading activities
3) Servant Heart. A willing heart to try new things and step out of comfort zone
4) Physical and Mental Health. Cambodia is hot, under-developed and much less comfortable than Toronto.
Starting February, you will meet about twice a month with a small group of 3 to 5 people to go through a "Journey Guide", that prepares you for cross cultural mission through devotion and sharing. This will be 30 to 60 min, and the group can meet either in person or online.
Additionally, we will also host about 3 large group gathering on Sunday afternoon for team building, lesson plans, and very importantly, learn basic Khmer and worship songs in the local language!
Yes, since mission is important to our church, there will be subsidy for team members who regularly attend our church.
In the past, participants receive somewhere between 20 ~ 55% of the total cost in subsidy. This depends on a few things:
1) Whether you are planning a side trip (see next question)
2) The church's financial health
3) Mission team fundraising
Yes, but with one important caveat.
According to CRA rules, your airfare will be excluded from subsidy if you do not travel with the team to and from Toronto.
For example, if you fly from Toronto to Cambodia with the team, serve in mission, and fly to Japan for personal travel after, the entire airfare itinerary will be excluded from subsidy.
In this case, the church could increase your subsidy on ground cost. But you would still receive significantly less because airfare is the largest expense.
We welcome families to go on mission trips together!
However, if your child is under 16 years old, our recommendation is to arrange childcare for them back in Toronto so you can go. If that is not possible, you are welcome to join us in the future!
